a FALL afFAIR

Well it almost looks like FALL FAIR but a little different.  Each year the Powell River & District Agricultural Association puts on a FALL FAIR as their annual fundraiser.  This year instead of a regular FALL FAIR come and enjoy a FALL afFAIR, a slightly different version than previous years.

The Powell River Peak did give some Fair warning this year  to alert the community of some changes for this year.  There's still going to be a special event up at the Exhibition Grounds on September 19th and 20th from noon til 3pm but it may look and feel a bit different than last year.

What you will find is an abundance of vendors and local organizations.  Theraputic Riding will have their silent auction, the Forest Museum will be running the train, Skookum Food Provisioners will be crushing apples in their cider press, and of course live music and good food to soothe your soul and your appetite.

There will be petting farm in the round in place of the animal barn, allowing a smaller display but more interaction for the visitors to the afFAIR.  After train rides and petting animals kids can also enjoy a bouncy castle along with all your favourite festival treats.

The Exhibition Barn will be showcasing the local talents in the community and interactive displays.  There will not be general submissions this year.

What else will be missing?  This year you won't be seeing any gate fees, but there will be a few experiences "by donation" or a small cover fee to help in our fundraising efforts as it's the one time in the year the Agricultural Association has a chance to fund raise.
